Known issues

Gaps in the current rules

  • Rejected files (wrong format, over the count limit) fail silently. react-dropzone’s useDropzone hook exposes a fileRejections result carrying exactly this information; source does not read it. Whether this is an intentional simplification or an oversight is unconfirmed.
  • There is no way to pre-populate or externally control the attached file list. The component manages files entirely in its own internal state; there is no value or files prop. Editing something that already has an attached file has no confirmed path through this component alone.
  • The remove control’s keyboard accessibility in production is unconfirmed. The component’s own test suite mocks the close icon with keyboard handling that is not present in the real icon component as rendered in source. Whether a keyboard user can remove a file in the shipped component has not been verified either way.
  • No accessible association between the visible text and the file input was found. Whether react-dropzone’s own root/input props supply this by default was not traced further; do not assume either that it’s handled or that it’s missing.
